Choosing across species and scale

Neither is a better starting point than the other; it depends entirely on which kind of dinosaur a child already gravitates towards in books or on screen.

Children who start with a favourite figure often go on to ask real questions about diet, era, and size comparisons between species, which the collection is detailed enough to support honestly.

As a gift, a single dramatic predator works well as a standalone present, while herbivores and smaller species tend to suit topping up an existing collection rather than starting one from nothing.
